Claudia practices Therapeutic Massage. This approach takes into consideration the chief complaint of the client and assesses where the whole body may have adjusted in compensation for the injury or complaint. Utilizing various techniques; including swedish massage, myofascial, trigger point, deep tissue and acupressure; Claudia seeks to re-balance the body and integrate toward a functional whole, based on the assessment and her hands on work.
Her background consists of a BA in Theatre from the University of Utah, with a minor in dance. While there she had the honor to study with Sally Fitt, one of the pioneers in Dance Kinesiology. The course work included Anatomy, Kinesiology, and physical training in Sally's movement protocols as well as explorations in Alexander, Feldenkrais and other movement modalities. Claudia has spent her time since college in New York City performing and refining her crafts.
